The mother of two adult children who are married and have families of their own: Paige and Wade.
A graduate of Texas Woman's University with a BS in Home Economics and Our Lady of the Lake University with an MA in Special Education.
A professional educator recently retired from Longfellow Middle School in the San Antonio Independent School District where she was employed as a PLS teacher in the Special Education Department. She is immediate Past President of the Texas BETA PSI chapter of the ALPHA DELTA KAPPA professional sorority.
An avid quilter and a member of the Greater San Antonio Quilt Guild where she served as President Pro-Tempor from '94 thru '97. She ran the annual Quilt Auction in '95 and '96. She is also a member of the Alamo Heritage Quilt Guild.
